‘Prophet Joseph’ series to revisit ifilm English TV

Popular Iranian series ‘Prophet Joseph’ has been scheduled to be on the channel’s playlist, ifilm English website has reported.

Produced and directed by the late Farajollah Salahshour, airing of the series will start on May 4, 2020.

Prophet Jacob guides the Israelites to pray to the One and Only God.

God annunciates to him about the next prophet, who will be from his own generation.

One night, his son, Joseph, dreams about the sun, the moon and eleven stars which kneel in front of him.

He tells Jacob, who advises him not to tell his brothers about the dream.

Joseph’s brothers who are jealous of him take him to the desert and throw him into a well.

But God who had selected Joseph to guide people for salvation saves him from the well and helps him to get a high ranking position.

Some of the most popular names on the cast list are the late Abbas Amiri-Moqaddam, Elham Hamidi, Mahvash Sabrkon, Mostafa Zamani, Jafar Dehqan, Mahmoud Pakniyyat, Katayoun Riyahi, Leila Boloukat, Rahim Norouzi, Jahanbakhsh Soltani, and Parvaneh Masoumi.

‘Prophet Joseph’, made in 2008, is scheduled to replace the series ‘Lean on the Wind’, to be broadcast daily at 21:00 GMT.

ifilm English will also repeat each episode of the drama the following day at 02:00, 06:00 and 13:00. The series is comprised of 45 episodes.
